I've never heard of your company before. How do I know I can trust you?

Great question! I'm so glad you asked!

First, I am committed to families. This sets me apart from other online game companies. When you visit other game sites online, you don't always know what you're going to get. But unlike them, I provide color-coded ratings to help you know if a game is safe for your children or if it contains material that you might find objectionable - before you download and run it. Also, I do not allow any third-party advertising on my web site, so you and your children can safely browse my site without worrying about what they might see.

Second, I am a BBB accredited business. I invested time and money to earn my accreditation because I wanted to demonstrate that I am reliable and trustworthy. I operate according to the BBB's strict accreditation standards for respecting your personal privacy and safeguarding information you share with me. You can read my privacy policy for more details about that. As a small one-man business, I perhaps appreciate my customers more than most large companies do. So I go out of my way to earn my customers' trust and to support my customers when they have a problem.

Third, I am a developer member of the Association of Software Professionals (ASP). My membership guarantees that my software meets the ASP's standards for software quality and reliability. This means that my games are virus-free, and that I do not bundle third-party software like spyware and adware with my games.

Fourth, when you purchase one of the games I have developed through my online store, you will do so through BMT Micro. BMT Micro is a well-known e-commerce provider for many online businesses, and they provide a safe and secure payment system for our web site. In fact, I will never see your credit card information - that's how secure it is.

Fifth, many of the other games I carry on my site (not developed by me) are provided through Big Fish Games, a large, well-known company with a good, well-established reputation and BBB accreditation. When you purchase these games, you will do so through their payment systems. Other games on my site were obtained directly from the developers, who also use BMT Micro or Plimus (another well-known and well-respected payment provider) for their payment systems.

Why don't you have a phone number?

As an independent game developer, I currently operate My Game Company on a part-time basis. My business is growing, but has not yet reached the point where I can earn a living from it. So I have to work a second job to pay the bills. Because of this, I don't have a phone number for the business. If I had a phone number, you would probably get an answering machine most of the time anyway. So until I can keep regular business hours, I choose to minimize my expenses by foregoing a phone line.
