HI everyone

A little personal news - In the midst of all that goes on with the release of a new game, we have been having some work done on our house. We are converting the garage to be an arts and craft studio for me. The work was started this past Monday (8/10) (which was my birthday) and is scheduled to be completed this coming Friday (8/21). Though it will be "my room" it can still be used as a garage with just a little bit of moving around.

On Monday, the cement stairs that went to nowhere were removed, as were the make shift shelves that were on the walls. The back door was repaired and framed with molding. On Tuesday, the electrician came in and ran the lines over the far wall where there had been no electrical before. He put in several outlets and lots of lighting. On Wednesday, the plumber put in the deep sink and the heating guy tapped into the existing ducting to supply heat and air to the room and rewrapped the ducting. On Thursday the floor was power washed and etched so that it could be epoxy coated on Friday. Today no work is being done so the floor can thoroughly dry. Starting on Monday and going through Wednesday, the painter will be in to drywall, patch and paint. Thursday the electrician will be back to do the finishing touches to the electrical. And Friday the new cabinets will be installed. And finally the rug and tables will be brought in and any final touches will be placed.

I can hardly wait to get settled in there so I can start a project and leave it where it is until I can get back to it.

With all my stuff going out to the garage, the room in the house will become a guest room so when we have visitors they have a place to sleep.

There is not a lot to show right now, but when the room is completed I will post some before and after pictures.
