Default (SOLVED) Segmentation fault on Mandriva 2011 64 bit with updates

I have bought full version of game, downloaded new version of trial and after install I have changed last line in Dirk script to:

    # Run the game
    padsp ./RickRocket

    "padsp" was added.

    Now game works OK.

In other case on Mandriva 2011 64 bit with updates the game doesn't want to start -=> gives segmentation fault.

Is the game still crashing for you? Or did adding "padsp" fix it?

The "padsp" fixed it - with this one the game works perfect.

Oh, good! I was worried when I saw the last line in italics. Whew!

This week, I'm planning to recompile the Linux versions of both Dirk 1 and Rick Rocket against the latest version of my game engine and the most recent SDL that I'm using, so hopefully "padsp" won't be needed anymore. Plus they'll pick up some other Linux-related fixes too... When they're available, I'll post it in the Announcements forum.

I have tried the latest version: 1.1.1. Now the game works OK out of box, so you can add to the topic {SOLVED}.

Small shy ask: is possible to add the joystick support in splash-screen - now I have to click by mouse, and in the main screen & menu like in DD-2?

The thread subject has been modified.

Hm, I thought the joystick was hooked up on the title screen at one point. I'll make a note to fix that when I do the next game update. Not sure when that will be, but I usually update my games 2-3 times per year for various things.
