Secret Levels

Has anyone found any of the secret levels? There's supposed to be three of them...

Hi AlleyCat,

There are clues in the Official Hints and Tricks Sheet that comes with the full version of the game. Some people forget about this Sheet, or perhaps never notice it.

On Windows, you'll find it in the Start menu.
On Macs, you'll find it in the dmg file that you downloaded.
On Linux, you'll find it in the install directory.

The Hints and Tricks Sheet tells you which chapters the secret levels are accessed from. Basically, these chapters have a second exit that is hidden, and the Hints and Tricks Sheet gives you clues as to how to find the hidden exits.

i found the entrance to level 2-x in one of the barns in 2-5 the other day. was hopping around behind the walls and sloped ceilings looking for hidden goodies when I found some x-ray glasses that showed me where it was. still looking for the other two levels. thanks for the tip about the hint sheet!

I found level 2-X, and the Hints and Tricks sheet helped me find level 5-X! Still looking for level 1-X, but the Hints and Tricks sheet helped here too bcuz I think I may know where it is, if I can just figure out how to get up there. Thanks for the hints guys!

By the way, level 5-X is VERY COOL! That's my new fav level!

I finally found 5-x. You're right, it is pretty cool! I loved the idea of Dirk going after Dr. Ego, the leader of EVIL. And Bombshelle on a moving platform - nasty fun! I hope we get to see Dirk take on Dr. Ego in a sequel!

I just found level 1-x! OMG!!! I luv it!!! :eek:

I haven't laughed this hard in a long time - its like being on a trampoline, there are so many springy shoes and a ton of cash to grab! Lots of fun!

Pretty tough to find 1-x. Really tricky with the hidden switch. Wonder how many others there are in the game...

I agree! I like that secret level. It is a lot of fun. No puzzle to solve, just pure fun! :D It makes the hunt for the entrance well worth the search. Hope you find all the other secret levels. It think you will enjoy them all.

Good thread. I found level 2-x, before I actually saw Thurmond's comment. Gonna finish the game first and try to find the other 2 secret levels myself before looking at the hints and tricks sheet.

im trying to find 5x and the hint sheet didnt help much. i know what level its in and where to look in general, but i still can't find it. any hints?

I did purchase the game from MacGameStore, but I did not get the Official Hints and Tricks with the DMG. I just have the double click to purchase weblink, which is strange, as I have already purchased it and that is the link that they gave with the email. I know that often I will put in the Serial No. if I have bought a game I have downloaded for trial, as in 99% of the cases, the game is the same. So, I just downloaded it again, but there definitely is no hints page in the DMG.

I ended up finding the hints sheet on this website (before your reply ;-), so that is great. I am glad that you could pass the news onto MacGameStore.

This is such a good game, I decided to revisit it and have a look if I could find the secret levels. I have now found 1x and 3x, but 5x? I have been jumping round and round in the place it says on the hint sheet. I really need a hint now. I couldn't find a way to get on the roof or to bomb Bombshelle, but I got out the ordinary exit. Anyhoo, I have saved a game ready and waiting so I can find level 5x.
