how do bonuses work?

i was playing the game and finished a outfit and a price tag that said 2x floated up! not sure exactly what i did to get that bonus.

Here's how the combo bonus system works: let's say you play a piece that completes an outfit. If the very next piece you play also completes an outfit, then you get twice as many points for that outfit. Then if you immediately play another piece that completes a third outfit, then you get three times as many points. And so on.

As long as you keep completing an outfit with each successive move, the bonus multiplier increases.

My teenage daughter got 8x last night! She is really enjoying this game. There's a bit more strategy to it than it appears on first glance.
