I noticed that it has been a little while since I last posted on my blog.
March was a really hectic month. First we adopted our new puppy Zoey! She is such a delight. I don’t know how we could have lived without her for so long. As Troy mentioned in his blog, Pippin was not too happy at first with Zoey joining our family. However, over the last month and a half he is getting used to having her around and actually rather protective of her at times. Although, like any siblings they still have their little scuffles.
About that same time I got that nasty virus that is going around and missed several days of work. Though I’m better now, I’m still fighting the cough.
To top it all off, my computer died. So I had to get a new computer. Troy really likes the Apple, so guess what I got – yep, an Apple computer.
I’m quite happy with the new computer, though it has taken a little getting used to. Troy did set up a portion for Windows applications that I’m familiar with. So I have Outlook, Word and Excel as before, but have to remember how to get in and out of those applications. Since I have to use those at work it is helpful that I don’t have to learn new applications for now. When I retire I can do that. In the mean time I’m up and running again!
Though this has nothing really to do with computer software, one of the nice things about this new computer is that it is so compact. There is no tower to take up space. And it is a flat screen, so not so much of my desktop is taken up with the monitor.
With my new computer came some new games. A couple I had never played before, and an old favorite - Fairway Solitaire, Fishdom and Zuma. When I played Zuma before I had to take it off my computer because I couldn't go without playing it when I turned on my computer and spent too much time playing it. I might have to do that with all these games - very addictive. I think I will have to stay with the testing of the games. That way I can play the games for an hour and then I have to quit playing.
Well, that catches you up with some of what has been going on in my life. I will write more soon!
