The new year has been very interesting so far. I have been learning some new techniques to apply with my polymer clay. Though it has not included clay yet, I know that I can.
In the middle of January I took a class at the local bead store. The title was "The Coiling Gizmo". We coiled the "artist wire" and made some really beautiful jewelry. Then at the end of January I took a class for "Wire Wrapping". We learned how to spiral the wire to make encase the glass beads and also to make the links for the chain. Again, we left the class with a beautiful finished project. Today I took a class on "Spiral Wrapped Wire". This one we made the focal piece for a necklace. And again we were wearing the piece we made in the class. I don't have pictures yet, but will try to do that tomorrow so I can post pictures of each of the projects we made.
It has been a lot of fun to learn the new techniques. I just wish I had more time to play with them all!
Well, until next time ... learn something new. See how it enriches your life! :D
