You know how when the old year goes out and the New Year is coming in people always make resolutions? Well, my mom used to say that whatever you did on the first day of the New Year is what you will do every day in that year. So since I am not a clean freak I didn't want to clean on New Years Day because I didn't want to be cleaning every day in that year. Instead, I would clean for the last few days of the year.

So true to my old habits, I have been trying to clean up a few things around the house. As I look at my desktop I count 71 game shortcuts that I have not cleared from my computer after checking to make sure that they were clean games to recommend on our web site. I guess I had better get to my cleaning - on my computer.

As I looked at the game titles it was fun to reminisce about the games. Some of them were a lot of fun, but some were really boring or had some questionable play in them. But I realized that there were a lot of hours spent on those games. When I am checking out a game I often get engrossed in the game and the trial hour expires before I realize I have been at it that long. So with 71 games on my desktop that is a lot of time playing games!

So my New Year's resolution is - when I have completed reviewing a game I am going to uninstall it from my computer.

Be sure to check out the recommended family friendly games on our site. We would like for you to support other game developers who produce family friendly games.

Happy New Year everyone!

Happy New Year! Just wanted you all to know that I have been keeping true to my resolution to uninstall the games that I have reviewed. Since I wrote this message last week I have reviewed ten games some of which have been added the list of approved family friendly games that can be purchased through our web site. When I completed the timed trial I immediately uninstalled the games so that my desktop is not cluttered with unusable icons. Now that I'm on a roll with this resolution, maybe it will transfer to my desk! Oh wouldn't that be nice!!!

I just wanted to take the opportunity to publicly thank Victoria for all the work she does. She spends a lot of time each week screening games, many of which never even make it to our web site because of some questionable content she finds in them. (That might tell you how many icons she had to clean off her desktop...)

Victoria has personally played nearly every game on our web site, and that represents an enormous investment of time... time that she sometimes would rather spend doing other things. But she (and me too) is determined that we're not going to promote or sell any games that contain content inappropriate to children. So I just want to thank her for her commitment and dedication! Bravo!

Well, here we are in the middle of February! How have you been doing with your New Year's Resolutions? I started really well keeping my desk top cleared of the game icons of the games I tried. But, alas, I fell back into my old habit of letting them stay there. I noticed today that my desktop was getting really full of all the game icons. So I cleaned it up today. I took off about 20 of them. Now I can see the picture of my Pippin on my desktop!

Hope you are doing better than I am with your New Year's resolutions!

BTW Happy Valentine's Day!
