Hi Everyone
I’m home from work a little early today because I had to have some work done on my car.
I was thinking it had been a little while since I wrote my last blog entry. I was surprised to see that my last entry was way back on August 13th!
So you are probably wondering what I have been doing with all my time. Well, let’s see… I wish I could say I have been doing lots of clay stuff, but I haven’t. Or I wish I could say I was doing lots of stamping, but I haven’t. I have to have a chunk of time to be able to really play with either of these crafts.
One thing I have been doing is game testing. My Game Company is now an affiliate for Reflexive Arcade. When you click on the Games tab on our site, you will find at the bottom of the page a number of games MGC is proud to recommend as family friendly games for children and adults alike. We have downloaded the trial versions of these games and tried them out to see if there is any content that would not be suitable for children – that would include language/violence/adult themes and any other inappropriate content.
So, back to my original statement, I have been game testing. Troy mentioned in his blog entry that I have done most of the testing. Now that I have tested all those games, I thought – gee, I should be writing a review of these games. So I will start with some of the most resent games I have tested.
Today’s review: MUSIC CATCH
Just recently I played the trial version of Music Catch. It is only a 30 minute trial (most games give you a full hour). I thought it was quite entertaining. The object of the game is to “catch the music”. Shapes float across the screen to the rhythm of the music playing. The blue and green shapes count as single points. The yellow shapes increase the size of your mouse and multiply your points. The red shapes however, reduce the size of the mouse. The purple shapes are like a magnet for a short time and attract all the shapes, except the red ones. Of course the goal is to get as many points as possible. There are a variety of tunes and with the full version you can add your own music to the mix. I enjoyed the fact that I didn’t have to think and the music was entertaining.
