Well, like I was telling you, my daughter has been coming up with drawings faster than I can get them drawn on Gimp. Here is one she drew. It is simple but pretty.

Colors:
bleached
pink/magenta
turquoise/blue
Green/Dk. Green
Lavendar/Violet
Yellow/Orange
Beige/Brown
Red/Denim

Well done - do you just trace over a scan of your daughter's drawing? I have a daughter that is eager to do some of her own clothes - she's only 7 and it'll probably be me that does most of the work.

Schrodinger, I started by printing out a copy of the model png. I took all the color off of it though so it is only an outline of the doll. I printed that out and the girls lay a seperate clean sheet of paper over it. The trace out the doll (usually from the neck down) and then draw their creations! I scan them into my computer and then start darkening the lines. Sometime I have to take creative liscense. My only problem has been that the copy that I printed out for them is not the same size as the model that I we use to make our creations. I don't know why, and I am sure that there is a way to fix that. But for now I have just been resizing it and then fitting it onto a new model and going from there. I hope that all makes sense. Hopefully your printed copy will be the right size. I already have 10+ outfits that my girls want me to do!--Christine
