My Review
This is the third in the popular Mystery Case Files series of games. This game mixes things up a bit by not following the
formula of the first two games. First, instead of investigating suspects, your
task is to find the missing pages of a diary in order to piece together what
happened to Emma Ravenhearst. Second, this game introduces some challenging
new puzzles in the form of sophisticated door locking mechanisms. Third, the
tone of this game is darker than the humorous and cartoonish tone of the
previous games. There are some similarities, however - you still play a
detective, you still have your trusty Crime Computer, and you still get a
different set of clues to look for each time you replay the game. The game is pretty clean, and in fact the
official ESRB rating is Everyone 10+, but I rated it Teen so I could call
your attention to some mild blood and mild references to violence, as well as
the darker and spookier tone of the game.
