Dawn's Light is the first RPG (role-playing game) from
independent developer John Wizard Games, and it's a good one. The writing in
this game is exceptional - it's clever and humorous, and the characters are
loaded with personality. The game also makes you think. Winning battles
requires some strategy, and the puzzles are fun and challenging but never
frustrating. There are plenty of side quests, and the player is encouraged to
explore off the beaten path. You can easily replay this game and find things
you missed the first time around. The game itself is fairly clean, but we
rated it Teen due to some mild violence and a few dark situations in the
story.
