Welcome to the magical world of
Asguaard, where Fairies, Dwarves, and other legendary creatures
live together in relative peace. Yet their future is about to be
torn apart. Somewhere, somehow, the Pandora Box has been opened. A
series of plagues, each worse than the other, have
begun to devastate the land. The inhabitants are powerless to
prevent the tragedy, but there is one chance - they must summon a creature read about in the oldest of books, a creature
of myth and legend, a creature who
can achieve miracles - a human. |

My Review
Asguaard is a RPG (role-playing game) from
independent developer Aldorlea Games. It is a huge game, with over 500
locations to explore, over 150 secret rooms to find, and over 100 hours of
gameplay (if you take the time to explore every nook and cranny of the game).
So you'll definitely get your money's worth with this game. The story, like
many other indie RPGs, is epic in scope and very well-written. You start as a
young teenage boy, lost and confused, who was taken from his home on Earth to
a strange new world. His adventurous spirit quickly gets the better of him,
though, as he realizes he's the chosen hero in an epic struggle. The
characters in this game have a lot of personality, and they grow and develop
in a believable way as the story progresses. I rated this RPG family-friendly - the battle scenes with monsters
and enemies contain no blood or gore (enemies flash when they are hit), and I didn't see any bad words in the parts of the demo that
I played. If you like
story-driven RPGs, give this one a try!
