2010 Newsletter
President's Corner
We've decided to make some changes to the format of our
monthly newsletter. I feel that the newsletter has become far too
lengthy. We know your time
is valuable, and we don't want to overload you with a lot of
information at once. So we're going to make a few changes.
-
We
will no longer be including game reviews in our monthly
newsletter. Instead, we will be featuring weekly game reviews on
our web site's Reviews page.
This also allows us to start building up that section of our site.
-
We're
going to limit our monthly newsletter to news about what we are
working on, special discounts that are available, and other
interesting things we think you'll want to know.
-
We
will send a separate e-mail whenever we add a new game made by another indie
developer, like the one we
sent this morning to our Mac and Windows users about Aqualux.
That way you'll know about some good games that you may not
otherwise discover.
Let
us know what you think of the new changes. Your feedback is important
to us!

Dirk
Dashing 2 Production Update
I'm
pleased to announce that Ryan Sumo, who did much of the artwork for
Rick Rocket, has returned to help on Dirk Dashing 2. This game needs a
lot of artwork, so Ryan and I are dividing it up between us. I am
doing the cartoon animation for the various characters, and Ryan is
helping with other key art pieces, like certain background scenery,
power-ups, and vehicles. Welcome back, Ryan!
Hopefully
next month we will be able to show you samples of the new artwork
we've been creating for the game!
Special
Offers
This
month, Viqua Games has dropped the prices for each of their games to
only $5.99 each! If you haven't tried one of these great games, now is
the time to do so, and if you like, buy!

Cindy's Sundaes is a great matching puzzle game that lets you design your own ice cream sundaes and see them in the game! This game is available for Windows only.

First Class Flurry is a fun time management game that has you serving guests on a jet while the scenery passes by below. This game is available for Mac and Windows.

Tommy and the Magical Words (also known as Thomas as the Magical Words) is a Scrabble-style word game in which you build a path to the level exit by making words. This game is available for Mac and Windows. Unfortunately for us, the company we get the Mac version through still has the game listed at full price. But you can buy the discounted Mac version directly from the developer Red Marble Games
here (we just won't get any commission for the sale).
